How To Stop A Nervous Stomach
The UN Organization for Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has urgently requested vaccines and equipment to combat FMD in North Korea. They have also called for a concerted effort to modernize the North Korean veterinary services.
FAO, together with the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), visited North Korea from February 27 to March 8 at the request of the Government of China. The mission concluded that the ability of the country and its veterinary services to detect and contain outbreaks FMD needs to be strengthened significantly, with the implementation of best practice on biosecurity measures and improving the capacity and infrastructure of the country's laboratories.
The mission members visited a number of collective farms and the national veterinary laboratory and various field centers dedicated to animal health. Organizations oriented to the veterinary authorities of North Korea on the sampling and handling of samples of FMD. Now, veterinarians North Koreans take new samples to be sent to an international reference laboratory for analysis. "Only with accurate determination of the type of virus that appeared in outbreaks be possible to identify the most effective vaccine to cope, "said FAO.

The Wonderland
few years ago, 5 to be exact, Alan Garcia came through the front door of northern Peru after obtaining their judgments lapse. Tremendous as always, Alan (who I doubt) dazzled the people and came to run for president of this, my country. He spent the second round with Ollanta Humala, a commander or captain Carlos, famous for the event and my Mother (both say it is no longer true) so-called violation of human rights. At that time, Humala proposed, among other things: shoot the corrupt, shoot the queers, expropriate any foreign company in any manifestations (mining, banking, etc..) establish the death penalty for rapists (Alan workhorse and so was a great support of the "citizenship") among other pearls. Today, five years later, he wanted to "shoot the queers" now says he wants to "integrate" into society (are criminals, unsavory characters, misfits?) No longer calls the corrupt death but "justice" (in Peru where justice is synonymous with shame or immunity-like Fujimori's disgusting Raffo, or a dead letter), meets with the recalcitrant church at least it represents is a God out of his meeting with the raven Cipriani with a crucifix saying it practicing Catholic (pa lacked apostolic and Roman shell). And shamelessly pretend that his vision of "left" implies a new approach to our economic direction (growing 8% a year yeara steadily since, and although they joke, is the good legacy of Fujimori, as not all he did was wrong - and I'm not Fujimori, eye, because I will leave the pack of morons to tell me I'm naranjita, not fuck), and claims that with this strategic silence Gorilón Chavez and the poor fool who is Evo Morales (years ago were his spokesmen for that, if he wins the cop, shaping his famous "axis") pass lanyard with cross in hand.
What most strikes me and angers me is that I have many friends who, at that time, voted for Alan because Ollanta was a synonym for backward (what remains), and now they say "Ollanta" because it is the only representative of a left that long ago ceased. I see them and not recognize them. I hear them and see domesticated apes, chimpanzees imitate one feeling: Ollanta Ollanta Ollanta. Too bad. Do you want to live their May 68 in the XXI century? Get out of Bolivia. Do you think that Ollanta Humala is representative of a "left" in Peru? Please!
And worse, is that foreign friends, who earn good money monthly, which have health insurance and unemployment, which can eat 3 times a day with the fruit of their work (because their work permits), have a say in rennet a country who do not live. Do not annoy me. Here, in this wonderful land, we know what we need, we Cualla course, why we gamble. Ollanta Humala is a soldier and soldiers never change his mind, as they have been forged by a ratio: the goal.
God forbid this guy comes to power, rather than respond by $ 4,000 payments to witnesses of the massacre of My Mother to change the version (this is the spur of the poor new believers). And that Peru have a stronger future, safer, and more democratic. Otherwise, we will be the cast of Cambodia.

The IRNAS and the University of Salamanca working on the study of a type of legume endangered Brazil extinction in collaboration with Scottish scientists
Institute Natural Resources and Biotechnology (IRNAS) of Salamanca and the University of Salamanca have started a research on the interaction between leguminous plants and microorganisms in collaboration with the prestigious Scottish Crop Research Institute (SCRI) in Dundee, Scotland (United Kingdom). The aim is to study how a type of bacteria in the soil contributes to nitrogen fixation, an essential nutrient in plants.
Advances in this field are very important for agriculture, contributing to the elimination of dependence on chemical fertilizers to improve plant nutrition by microorganisms.
Euan James, a researcher at the Scottish Crop Research Institute , visited the IRNAS to advance this project together and provide a scientific seminar to Salamanca about his research. "We work in the field of interactions between plants and microorganisms, particularly in legumes, which are capable of fixing atmospheric nitrogen in the air by interaction with a soil bacteria that enter the roots forming nodules and this is very important for agriculture in the future because it has environmental implications by reducing the rate of nitrogen fertilizer necessary to add the soil, ie, contributing to the independence of these legumes in this sense, "said the expert told DiCYT ( www.dicyt.com ).
The organisms that interact with the plant are bacteria of the genus Rhizobium or rhizobia. But the great contribution of the research group of Euan James has been to locate "a new type of bacteria that are able to establish this interaction. If the rhizobia belong to the alpha-proteobacteria class, the Scottish researchers have discovered a beta proteobacteria, other than the classical rhizobia, which are "Very adaptable to different environmental conditions" and are "able to carry out nitrogen fixation perfectly well", according to experts have found tropical legumes.
Following these advances, scientists from IRNAS Salamanca and the University of Salamanca, which also include knowledge in this area have begun a collaboration with the Scottish Crop Research Institute . In particular, the scientist at the IRNAS Alvaro Peix Geldart explained the initiative. "We are collaborating in the study of the infection process of some tropical legumes are in danger of extinction Brazil. It's about seeing their interactions and find out how microorganisms these legumes form nodules "he says.
